Burringurrah - Mt Augustus Explorer

Encompassing only 9,168 hectares, Mount Augustus National Park may be small in size, but it features one of the region’s biggest attractions, Mount Augustus—known to the Wajarri as Burringurrah.

At a height of 1,105 metres above sea level, this charismatic mountain joins the league of WA’s highest peaks. Extending about 14 kilometres in length, with an average width of five kilometres and towering up to 715 metres above the surrounding plain, Mount Augustus looks like a massive island rising out of a green ocean of acacia scrubland.
