General Terms and Conditions

Please read Terms and Conditions carefully as they are an essential part of our contract (between you as a customer and Naturetime as a tour operator). By booking a tour with us you accept our Terms and Conditions.

Bookings. Tours can be booked directly with Naturetime or through various tourist information centres. Full payment prior to departure is required. As soon as the booking is confirmed by Naturetime, full payment is required to secure the booking. However,  due to COVID related uncertainties, we do not take any deposits at the moment and we might not be able to confirm a tour until a few days prior to departure. If customers wish to make a booking several weeks/months in advance, we will take an interim booking.

Amendments. Due to unforeseen events (weather extremes, road closures, approaching cyclone, COVID restrictions, etc.) Naturetime reserves the right to

  • change itineraries prior to or during a tour
  • to extend an operating tour
  • to terminate an operating tour
  • to cancel a tour prior to departure
  • postpone or delay a tour

Cancellations and Refunds. Refund policy depends on circumstances.

Cancellation or amendment by Naturetime:

  • If a tour is cancelled by Naturetime prior to departure a full refund will be granted.
  • If an operating tour needs to be terminated by Naturetime due to an unforeseen event (e.g. such as flash flooding of a river) a proportional refund will be granted.
  • If an operating tour needs to be extended by Naturetime due to an unforeseen event (e.g. heavy local rainfall or road closures) the customer will be required to pay for additional expenses (e.g. accommodation and food).

Should the customer wish to cancel a booked tour, we charge the following cancellation fees:

  • Cancellation by the customer 1 or 2 days before departure: 50% of fare
  • Cancellation by the customer 3 or 4 days before departure: 30% of fare
  • Cancellation by the customer 5 or 6 days before departure: 20% of fare
  • Cancellation by the customer 7 days or more before departure: 10% of fare

IF THE CUSTOMER NEEDS TO CANCEL A TOUR DUE TO COVID RELATED RESTRICTIONS, WE DO NOT CHARGE ANY CANCELLATION FEES AND THE CUSTOMER WILL RECEIVE A FULL REFUND.

Pick-up / Drop-off. Naturetime offers a pick-up/drop-off service from any accommodation in the town where the tour commences (Carnarvon or Denham).

Medical assistance. Please note that due to the remoteness of some of our travel destinations, medical assistance may be delayed. If you have any health problems that require constant attention or may require urgent attention, Naturetime does not recommend you to book any of our multi-day Outback tours. If you wish to do so, it is on your own responsibility.

Personal liability. Although every care is taken by the operator, Naturetime accepts no liability for any death, injury, illness, loss, damage, delay (including mechanical breakdown) due to factors that are beyond the operator's control.

Water Activities. During our inland tours we might come across some seasonal or permanent waterholes. None of these are safe for swimming. Therefore Naturetime strongly advises customers not to swim in any of these waterholes. If you wish to do so you do it on your own risk and Naturetime accepts no liability in the event of an accident/injury/death. Our coastal tours also exclude any water activities. Swimming/snorkelling/diving in the ocean is not part of our tours and therefore at the customer's own risk. Naturetime accepts no liability in the event of an accident/injury/death

Travel insurance. We strongly advise you to take out comprehensive travel insurance.

Child policy. Children are welcome but we do not provide a booster seat or any other extra equipment for children. As our seats are limited we are unable to offer reduced fares for children. However, if vacancies are available we can make special deals for families. Please contact us for prices.

Concession. As our seats are limited and distances are long (resulting in high vehicle running costs) we are unable to offer concession rates.

Food. All meals are provided. If you have any special dietary requirements or allergies, please advise us at least three days in advance.

Accommodation. Accommodation is provided on all multi-day tours. The standard fare covers accommodation in a twin share (with shared bathroom). Single rooms or upgrading to ensuite cabins is possible for an additional fee (subject to availability).

Abusive behaviour. Abusive behaviour towards other participants or towards the tour guide will not be tolerated and may lead to the immediate termination of the tour.

Luggage. Please keep luggage to a minimum. For multi-day tours please take only soft bags that don't exceed 10kg in weight. Large items that don't fit into the car, must be transported on the roof rack where they are exposed to the elements.

guest cancelling as part of the booking) will not be able to join a tour.
